A trip to the discovery of South America made by Marina Abramovic, which tells the reality of a world of holy men, healers and people of all kinds.

Before going to see the film and tell you my impressions I decided to dedicate this post to the biography of Marina Abramovic, who has now 70 years and is considered the grandmother of performance.

Ancona, Italy. On July 9th 2016 the Municipal Art Gallery of Ancona, Italy, finally opened to the public after 4 years.
Works by Titian, Sebastiano del Piombo, Lorenzo Lotto and many more are now on view.

A fascinating short film was released in order to illustrate how and why this space is so important.

THE BEETHOVEN FRIEZE BY KLIMT

The narrative theme is an interpretation of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, whose Ode to joy, conducted by Mahler, was performed for the opening of the event.
Klimt is a portrait of the great musicians to put a face to its armed knight, who heeds to the human desire for happiness and goes forth to join Poetry as she awaits him.
To be able to do so however, he must cross a hostile and dangerous world ruled by the forces of evil, monsters, disease and madness, lust and pain.
It must pass through this world of pain to get to the flower paradise, where there will be the final embrace of love.

Another Nature

UN’ALTRA NATURA (ANOTHER NATURE)

Massimo Turlinelli is one of few artists who uses polychrome coloured pencils. He recreates a colour intensity that makes his works similar to paintings.

The artist uses exclusively red, yellow and blue pencils of the famous Swiss manufacturer of writing and drawing instruments Caran d’Ache.

Turlinelli’s works are on exhibition in Ascoli Piceno up to September 17th 2016.
