In my opinion, there are some theatres you must see, no matter which show they hold, simply because they’re beautiful.

How many times have you heard somebody talk about the 7 wonders of the world? Probably many times, and every time I try to list them I always forget one wonder.
And every time I turn to the Web for help, I always find lists that confuse me, because they are always different from one another.

Thus, I’ve decided to shed some light on this matter, and I wrote this post to tell you what the 7 wonders of the ancient world are and especially where they are, because you can still admire some of them 🙂

RICHARD GINORI: THE MANUFACTURE OF BEAUTY

Founded in 1737 by the Marquis Carlo Ginori in Doccia, near Florence, the porcelain manufacture of Sesto Fiorentino, become in 1896 the Richard Ginori Manufacture, is the most ancient in Italy and is still working.

The Marquis Ginori built a collection of models coming from the workshops of the sculptors of the late-Renaissance and early-Baroque periods; but at the same time he collected models from the workshops of Florentine sculptors of that time, or he commissioned reduced scale copies of the most well-known ancient sculptures.

THE ARCO LAMP

It was 1962 and light fell on tables, desks and magazines directly from the ceiling.
There were also floor lamps, but they were unwieldy and didn’t light exactly the point you needed.
An idea came to the Castiglioni brothers, Pier Giacomo and Anchille: to make a marble base and a steel arc-shaped structure which allowed the light to shine exactly on the point you needed. Brilliant!

Why should an eyewear brand link its name and its latest collection to a street artist and to his works?

The new O-Six collection is aimed at getting a different perspective, and has a lot in common with Kenny Random’s works, who is considered the Italian Bansky.
But in Random’s works we can find romanticism and poetry more than the irony which characterizes Bansky’s works.
