LAURINA PAPERINA: FROM OUTER SPACE

Laurina is an artist born in Rovereto in 1980 and belongs to the so-called “losers”, that is to say those creative young artists, who, right at the turn of the new millennium, showed their refusal to the mainstream culture, arousing their interest in alternative art forms, from skating to street art to underground music.
Fusion Art Gallery dedicates to her a solo exhibition entitled FROM OUTER SPACE, curated by Alfredo Sigolo.

The exhibition FROM OUTER SPACE falls within the off network of NEsxT Independent Art Network, and is included in COLLA, the new platform of Turin art galleries.
Laurina’s solo exhibition is the chance for you to observe the work of an artist who managed to gain fans and approval both in Italy and abroad.

SATURA ART GALLERY: SCHEDULED EXHIBITIONS

I told you that Genoa is a beautiful city when I wrote about my weekend in Genoa during the Rolli Days, but there is an aspect I didn’t examine in depth: Genoa is an art city from A to Z.

Even contemporary art can find its own space in Genoa, in places such as Palazzo Stella, where Satura art gallery will host from November 12^th to 23^rd 2016 two exhibitions dedicated to two talented female artists: Claudia Campanella and Alice Voglino.

Impressionism in Treviso

IMPRESSIONISM

At last, the exhibition dedicated to Impressionism and its stories has arrived in Treviso.
140 works will be on display at the Museum of Santa Caterina from October 29^th 2016 to April 17^th 2017.

It’s a large exhibition which will never bore you, because the works on show are great masterpieces.
The tour begins with an exhibition inside the exhibition. Three masterpieces painted by three artists who influenced the art of the late 19^th century with their representation of female image: “Venere che sorge dal mare” (“Venus rising from the sea”) by Titian, “The Feast of Herod” by Rubens and “A woman in bed” by Rembrandt.

From here you’ll begin an incredible journey into the history of painting which, since the 19^th century, had its point of reference in France, where artists all over the world arrived and drew their inspiration from Impressionism. Among them there were the Italian artists Giovanni Boldini o Federico Zandomeneghi, but also the American painter Edward Hopper.

An exhibition devoted to Francis Bacon is always a challenge, because Bacon is a controversial artist, but at the same time he’s fascinating, and has a demanding public.

The new exhibition project by Kornice aims to give everybody the chance to know Francis Bacon, and a collection of little-known works. I gave you some information in advance about the exhibition dedicated to Francis Bacon in Treviso, and now, after the inauguration, I can tell you in detail the tour of the exhibition.

Rolli days

ROLLI DAYS

Rolli Days. I had never seen Genoa before, or better I passed it several years ago in order to reach the Port of Savona. But that day I was in a hurry, and I didn’t even get out the car to have a coffee.
Therefore, I thought that Genoa was a city leant on its port, a little bit grey, too, and I didn’t have any idea of what it could hide among its streets and alleys which I only glimpsed.

I visited Genoa during the Rolli Days on October 15^th and 16^th 2016, and I was amazed.
